Program Director's Welcome Podiatry Residency Jason A. Piraino, D.P.M. Program Director Welcome to the Podiatry Residency Program in the department of orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. This program is a PMSR/RRA under the new model and is fully accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. Our department's vision statement is "Restoring lives through excellence in patient-centered, comprehensive care while educating future generations." Our faculty are dedicated and committed to the education of our residents by providing them with the supervision, guidance, didactic and clinical education and technical training so each individual may obtain his or her best level of accomplishment. UF Health Jacksonville is a 695-bed facility that houses both an advanced orthopaedic facility — UF Health Orthopaedic Surgery – Jacksonville — and the region's Level I trauma center, both of which serve all of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
